Very often a church or ministry is grinding to a halt because it has not adapted to the changing cultural and economic dynamics that have taken place in its context. Perhaps the neighborhood has changed ethnically but the church has been unwilling or unable to adapt and welcome newcomers who are different. Perhaps leadership has blocked progress in the past, but now those who remain recognize the need to change or watch the ministry die. Coaching is a learned skill that guides the client to understand his/her situation more clearly and make the wisest decision in his/her current context.
